We are so excited to show off our home!
2020 is an exciting year for us as St. Augustine Plantation. We are celebrating 21 years of excellence in our community! Our Assisted Living features the comforts and style of our area with the large front porch and the elegance of an estate home along with the natural beauty of the historic canopy road on which we reside.
The History of Old St Augustine Road was originally an old Spanish trail from the San Luis Mission to St. Augustine. In the 1820s the Federal Government authorized an earthen road to be constructed from St. Augustine to Pensacola, with Tallahassee as its midpoint. Our home now resides on one of the larger plantations that existed at the time on the beautiful canopy road.
We followed the need of our community and added a small private Memory care in 2012. This addition along with an Extended Congregated Care License has helped us meet our commitment to provide a home for our residents throughout the aging process and to continue a safe atmosphere where residents can remain as part of our family throughout their entire journey.
The decision in choosing the right home for your loved ones comes with many emotions. We understand this and that is why when you are here, you are among family. We want the time spent with your loved one to be quality time; and to let us handle the rest!
This Commitment to Caring started small and has grown over the years. Many of our staff members have been with us from quite some time and many from the beginning. I have had the pleasure of being a part of St. Augustine for 17 years this year, and in turn, this home is a part of myself as well. I, like many of our staff members, have a deep commitment to our home and our residents.
When you make St. Augustine Plantation your home, you become part of our family! Welcome to our HOME.
Sincerely,
Megan Griffin, Administrator
