“Dear Hospice of the Midwest, THANK-YOU does not even begin to express the gratitude that we, the family of Josephine Larsen feel. For over the past year, your "angels" helped us take care of mother in her own home, with the love and support that she and our family needed. Although we are grieving the loss of our amazing mother, we find comfort in knowing we (along with all of you) were able to give her an amazing last year and will cherish it always. Thank you again,”
“Hospice to me was a scary word. When they told me my aunt needed to be in hospice care I thought, wow, is she in that bad of health. Hospice was always end of life care...or that’s what I thought. When they suggested Hospice of the Midwest for my Aunt Ruth, it just meant she needed a little more one on one care. Someone to spend more time with her, to give her extra attention, someone to just be there with her. We are so thankful for Hospice of the Midwest and I believe because of them my Aunt Ruth lived very happily until she passed.”
“I called and they came immediately. We couldn't have asked for any better service. Everyone was efficient and compassionate, helped when we wanted it and gave us space when we needed it. Megan was a God send. We appreciated her visits and her help in caring for my husband. Tiffany was compassionate and gave us the time we needed to say goodbye. I would definitely recommend Hospice of the Midwest.”
“This company is staffed by nothing but caring, loving professionals who do a tremendous job. They cared for my wife in a way that I could never have expected. They are an outstanding company”
“I had to deal with the loss of my father this past year and as difficult as it was, the team that worked alongside us truly became part of our family. They were kind, supportive, and the communication was constant throughout it all. Even today, months later, we still have some team members reaching out to check in on our family. If I could give more than five stars, I would! Highly highly recommend. Thank you, Hospice of the Midwest, for doing all that you did for my family! Forever thankful”
“The “team purple" at Hospice became my extended family during my husbands illness. Their compassion & dedication towards me and my family were such a blessing, not to mention putting my husbands worries at ease as well. I cannot say enough about this team! If you’re in this alone, PLEASE reach out to them - it will make all the difference with your situation. I absolutely LOVE this team!!”
“Our family recently experienced the tragedy of watching our beloved grandmother succumbing to the ravages of her hard-fought battle with cancer. As a family, we struggled to decide the best way to manage her end-of-life care and desperately wanted to do everything we could to keep her at home as she passed. Hospice of the Midwest was able to make this a reality for our family. As her health began to quickly deteriorate, we struggled to make rapid decisions about whether to move her into nursing home care, hospice, or find a way to care for her as a family at home. Prior to my communication with Hospice of the Midwest, I did not even realize in-home hospice was a service that was available. I spoke with Eddie who was able to compassionately answer mine, my mother's, and my grandfather's questions. We were relieved that he not only coordinated a team of personnel and supplies in mere hours-but that he also personally stopped by the house to speak with our family and put us at ease. The c”
“I work at an Assisted Living in Des Moines and have had the pleasure of working with Jackie, Kayla, Zach, and Kelsey. I couldn't say more good things about all of these people and the rest of the team from Hospice of the Midwest. We have had multiple residents receive services from them. During this time the care, compassion, and personal communication with our team as well as families has been outstanding. We appreciate all that this great team has to offer. Thanks for all you do!”
“I have had the opportunity to work with Erin, Zach, Beth and Jackie with several residents at my job. As a nurse, we tend to form bonds with our long term care residents and love them as our own family members. We become attached and only want the best for them because they all deserve the best. Working the Hospice of the Midwest and watching them provide cares to the sick and elderly reminds me why I became a nurse. The compassion that they show their clients and the client's family members has made me cry on more than one occasion. They love each and every one of the clients. They take the time to get to know their families. They cry with them. Hold them when they need it. Provide enough of the extras to make an excruciating time for someone, peaceful. Watching Erin sit for hours with a client, singing his favorite songs, as he was passing, so he would feel love when his family wasn't able to be with him. And their music therapist , sitting on the floor at the head o”
