As statics have shown almost 7 out of 10 Americans over age 65 will need long-term care. These twitter accounts are recognized for being active senior living accounts on Twitter who have been doing a fantastic job of tracking and announcing breaking news in areas of healthcare innovation, caring for the aging population, and peer support. This week we finally pick back up with our segment of OP #FollowFriday (that is “OpenPlacement Follow Friday”), Healthcare Giants on Twitter.

Just yesterday, Aging2.0 (@Aging20), a global organization whose mission is to accelerate innovation in aging, announced the first cohort of its newly launched GENerator (#A2GENerator) founders program. Eleven innovative early-stage companies have been selected to begin the six-month program, based out of the Institute on Aging in San Francisco.  You can read more here. #OPFollowFriday These #HiSum Innovators on Twitter Gabby Mujal

opFFLast week, Rock Health (@Rock_Health) organized its third annual Health Innovation Summit (#HiSum) in San Francisco. With more than 400 individuals in attendance — physicians, investors and entrepreneurs — the summit represented a range of sectors from the healthcare industry. The summit included visits to the offices of leading digital health companies, interactive discussions and care provider feedback, as well as demos of new products of services. OpenPlacement (@OpenPlacement) had the privilege to be in attendance and partake in the activities.
